MIC Solutions Ltd was sub-contracted to re-cable LCG’s Head Office on Cheapside in the The City. Providing a reliable and efficient network infrastructure team, we removed and re-patched all existing Cat5e wiring to set up new workspaces for the entire office.

Our recabling process involved, assessment and planning to evaluate current cabling, identify weak points, and plan the best layout based on office needs. Factors to be considered were maximum cable drop, type, use (data/voice) with future scalability in mind.

Termination and Testing was crucial to the successful outcome, with new jackets, colour coded and labelled with testing for continuity, speed, and signal integrity using Fluke cable testers.

The team conducted device connectivity testing to ensure all desktops, to ensure all computers, phones, printers, and IoT devices connected successfully. The team also tested for network speed and stability using speed tests, ping, nslookup commands to verify data flow and detect latency issues. Finally, Wi-Fi Signal optimization checks were carried out to adjust access points to eliminate dead zones and minimize interference.
